Elizabeth grew up on the Eastern Shore of Maryland where she developed a love of dance, sports, and medicine. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from the University of Maryland, College Park where she worked for both the football and women’s lacrosse teams. She then went on to earn her Master of Science in Athletic Training from the University of South Florida where she completed rotations with USF baseball and women’s soccer, a local high school, and Saint Leo University softball. The research Elizabeth did at USF, “Does Supplemental Estrogen Improve Bone-Related Symptoms of Female Athlete Triad in Female Athletes? A Critically Appraised Topic” was published in August 2021 in the Journal of Sport Rehabilitation. Following her formal education, she began working for Roper St. Francis Healthcare as an outreach athletic trainer, covering her school’s 14 teams. She then transitioned into working as a clinic based athletic trainer with an orthopedic surgeon. Elizabeth’s professional passions include preventative medicine and health lifestyles. She is excited to help all of her Strength and Recovery clients create ways to keep themselves at their best.

Josh began studying massage therapy in 2002 at Palmetto Jujitsu and Healing Arts in Columbia SC where he learned Okazaki Restoration Massage. Graduating from Southeastern Neuromuscular Massage school in 2007 he began working in Chiropractic offices and spas.
In 2015 he joined the USC Gamecocks Athletic department on the Football and Basketball teams, until moving to Charleston in 2020.
He uses deep tissue, sports medicine, neuromuscular, structural integration and muscle testing along with rehabilitation exercise and stretching to help you heal.

In 2012, Dr. Epps received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the prestigious Tuskegee University in Tuskegee, AL. She received a Masters of Science degree in Oriental Medicine from National University of Health Sciences in Lombard, IL; and a Doctorate in Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine from the American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine in San Francisco, CA. Dr. Epps is now a South Carolina licensed acupuncturist and a Diplomat of Acupuncture (NCCAOM).
